The SuperQuiet ‘Data Only’ USB cable, like its predecessor the Dual-Headed USB cable, is split into two sections—one section carrying only data and the other dedicated to carrying power. The data and power lines are physically placed away from each other, design further improved by double braid-shielding, massively reducing the problem of radiated power supply noise that typical USB cables are prone to by design. Special Edition ‘Data Only’ version with 5v wire removed is now optional and works only with select USB DACs that accommodate this type of architecture.
